Bridging the language gap in workforce management.

For distributed teams and blue-collar workforces, software often creates friction rather than solving it. Complex interfaces and language barriers prevent workers from efficiently tracking shifts, understanding daily tasks, and communicating with management. WorkMate is a multilingual workforce management app designed to make job-related information instantly accessible in the user's preferred language.

Communication silos & inaccessible tools

Existing workforce tools are heavily text-dependent and default to English, leading to missed shifts, misunderstood task requirements, and a high dependency on supervisors for basic schedule clarifications.

A localized, highly visual task interface

A mobile-first dashboard that prioritizes native language toggles, icon-driven task management, simplified shift tracking, and integrated multilingual communication channels to keep every worker aligned.

Designing for accessibility and diverse literacies.

Through studying the daily routines of facility management and on-ground workforces, the UI needed to shift away from dense text lists toward clear, glanceable visual indicators.

02. Visual Task Checklists Heavy reliance on universal iconography, color-coded urgency states, and progress bars rather than dense text descriptions.
03. Simplified Shift Management Clear calendar interfaces for upcoming shifts, easy clock-in/out buttons, and transparent payload tracking.
